Arm Fractures

KEY POINTS

- forearm (radius and/or ulna) and upper arm (humerus) are two of the most common fractures, particularly in children
- fractures are not just bone injuries --- soft tissues (like ligaments, nerves and tendons) can also be damaged during the fracture event
- children are most often fortunate to be good and quick at healing.  Not missing other injuries (like a nerve injury) will help make sure of a full recovery
